He also revealed that he was prepared for any kind of reaction to The White Lotus Season 3 finale, even if it was not positive. Here's everything he said about The White Lotus Season 3's final episode, which is set to premiere on April 6, 2025.
The White Lotus Season 3 creator and cast on the finale
The White Lotus creator Mike White and a bunch of his cast and crew recently sat down for an exclusive with The Hollywood Reporter on April 2, 2025, ahead of their coveted season 3 finale premiere.

Mike White talked about the final episode, saying that it will be extremely surprising and hopefully cathartic as well.
"As a filmmaker, it’s (the 90-minute final episode) a piece of work where I’m like, ‘I can’t believe I did that.’ I mean, a lot of it is because there are so many talented people working on it, but it just feels like it racks focus in a way that’s very satisfying as a writer, And so, yeah, it’s sad, but my hope is that it will feel like a cathartic sad or a satisfying sad and not a ‘What the f**k?’ sad."
Walton Goggins, who plays Rick Hatchett on The White Lotus Season 3, gave the only quantifiable tease about the final episode of the season, saying that
"Season three is about spirituality, it’s about life and it’s about death, and you get all of them in episode eight"
John Gries, who has already been a part of both the previous The White Lotus finals, only used adjectives like 'shocking' and 'mouth-agape shocking' to which Aimee Lou Wood added
"There’s triumph, there’s despair, it’s kind of the full spectrum of what White Lotus can be — it’s all in there, And also, I love the way it always repeats a format, but what’s occurring within it is so different and I think that this particular death is very different from the other deaths.”
Jason Issacs put in words the only hope that every fan of The White Lotus Season 3 has when he said that-
"There are three important parts to every film: the ending, the ending, and the ending, And this end is perfection.”
The cast and crew of The White Lotus Season 3 might have revealed next to nothing about the final episode, but they've definitely turned up the heat on it. Follow along as we dissect every piece of news on The White Lotus
