Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is back in the news again, this time for casting. The upcoming second season of Born Again recently added actress Lili Taylor, a three-time Emmy nominee, to its roster of actors. However, her role and character name remains undisclosed now. However, the Deadline report that broke the news suggests that she will be Fisk's political rival.
However, her character will probably not be revealed for a while. We might learn more about her character either by July 2025 during a Comic-Con panel or sometime next year, as Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will be accessible through streaming on Disney+. Her inclusion in the cast only adds more to the pedigree of the series.
Who is Daredevil: Born Again Season 2's Lili Taylor?
Actress Lili Taylor is a respected actress in TV and movies. As stated before, she was nominated thrice for Emmys for her roles in The X-Files, Six Feet Under, and American Crime. Other than Emmys, Taylor is also a four-time Independent Spirit Awards nominee for 1990's Bright Angel, 1993's Household Saints, 1995's The Addiction, and 1996's Girls Town.
She also won a special recognition at the Sundance Film Festival for her role as Valerie Solanas in Mary Harron's I Shot Andy Warhol, which was also released in 1996. So, Taylor is an actress who is big on the independent scene.
Before Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, the major genre fare she appeared in was the two seasons of Outer Range, which is a neo-Western science-fiction series. Outer Range revolves around the mysterious occurrences in the Abbott family after Royal Abbott (Josh Brolin) discovers a void in the pasture.
In addition to being an actress, she is an activist supporting conservation causes of avian life. Lili Taylor also authored a book titled Turning To Birds, which will be available in bookstores across the world from April 29, 2025.
When will Daredevil Born Again Season 2 be released?
As six episodes of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 are currently streaming, the second season is currently filming. It is expected to continue for the next few months. So, we don't have a release date yet. However, if Brad Winderbaum is to be believed during a February 2025 interview with ScreenRant, then Born Again Season 2 will release somewhere next year.
In that interview, ScreenRant asked Marvel Studios' Head of Streaming, Brad Winderbaum, if Marvel was planning to make Born Again an annual event. To this question, Winderbaum replied positively by saying:
"That is the plan. Season 2 will come out next year, and then hopefully season 3 and season infinity after that. I think this world is extremely rich, and there are many stories to be told on the streets of New York. It's certainly something very fundamental to Marvel, going back to the earliest days of publishing with Stan and Jack and Steve and the original Marvel bullpen. It's New York through New York, and the fact that we're able to shoot here and tell a story about New York made by New Yorkers is just fundamental to the series."
