Netflix aired the final episodes of the much-awaited social experiment, Love is Blind Mexico, on August 15, 2024. They include episodes 9 and 10, which feature engaged couples facing various issues and trying to solve them as their weddings are just a few days away. The episodes also reveal who ended with whom and who was heartbroken at the altar.
The ninth episode of Love is Blind Mexico saw an engaged couple, Fernando Hernández and Karen Torales, arguing. It was about Karen’s smoking, which she occasionally engages in while in stress. Her fiancee doesn’t like her smoking, and that’s what they argued about.

"I feel like a broken record. It’s impossible to have a conversation with you about this," shared Fernando.
Love is Blind Mexico: Fernando and Karen’s argument about "smoking"
After receiving the call from his ex, Fernando didn't share anything regarding that with Karen. Love is Blind Mexico episode 9 featured Karen stressing about the situation and was under the impression that he might return to his ex. When she tried asking him about it, he refused.
Karen then asked him whether things were good or if they were getting married. Fernando asked what all that was about.
"You might go back to your ex," said Karen.
Later in the Love is Blind Mexico episode, Karen confessed that when people start relationships, they cut ties with their exes. She wondered why he didn’t share anything with her.
During the conversation, she also asked Fernando:
"Do you think it’s okay to tell me that you’re talking to your ex?"
Fernando later shared in the confessional that whenever Karen is in such situations, it gives her anxiety, and she deals with it by smoking.
When he tried telling his fiance, she expressed that she felt anxious because he was not letting her smoke and wondered what she could do.
"See? You’re doing it again—anxiety smoking. You don’t know how to have a conversation," shared Fernando.
Karen asked what if she couldn’t quit smoking, to which he replied that he couldn’t be with her. Love is Blind Mexico star couldn’t decide whether her fiance behaved in such a way because of his ex or smoking.
Karen asked Fernando to confirm whether he meant that if she didn’t quit smoking, he wouldn’t marry her. However, when he refused, they argued even more.
Fernando replied that he felt like a "broken record" and that having a conversation with her was impossible. He feared that it might turn into a "serious issue" between them.
Karen told Fernando that she had been wondering whether she could quit, but she was bothered by how aggressively he said it.
