Shark Tank Season 16 aired yet another episode with creative products to lure Investors into their business proposition. Episode 5 was graced by permanent sharks Mark, Barbara, Kevin, Lori, and guest shark Rashaun L. Williams. Season 16 is special for the sharks as they will all be shooting the show with Mark Cuban for the very last time.

Barbara Corcoran, the real estate mogul and Investor, appears on Shark Tank as a permanent shark and has been a part of the show since its inception. However, season 16 holds a special place in her heart as her "Big Brother" will depart from the show after the season ends.

Barbara recently opened up about wrapping up the filming of season 16 and shared her experience with Couric Media about the same. The highlight of the season for Barbara, apart from various fascinating pitches, was sitting beside Mark Cuban one last time on the show. She shared:

"I just came back from shooting the final episode with him. It was bittersweet. Mark sits right next to me, does my math for me, and always approves of what I do. It felt like losing a big brother."

She further added:

"No matter what he says, I don’t want him to go. He’s my favorite guy on set — partially cause he’s the richest, I have to admit — but also because what you see is what you get with Mark."

Shark Tank Season 16 Episode 5: Barbara Corcoran seals the deal with "Creator Camp"

In the recent episode of Shark Tank season 16, a trio pitched an innovative idea, "Creative Camp" which focuses on providing education to children aged 6-13 about Digital Content Creation ranging everything from animation, coding, filmmaking, and more. The idea instantly lured Barbara who believed in the founders' dedicated vision and potential of the product.

The trio, Christopher Cazden Morrison, Kai Forman, and Jacky Chao asked $350,000 for a 5% equity stake. However, Barbara sealed the deal, after a back-and-forth negotiation at $350,000 for a 18% stake. The founders also shared a promising goal of expanding Creator Camp to 250 locations by 2030 and reaching 25 million in revenue.

Barbara joined the Creator Camp with a vision to help the founders create a successful franchise model for their idea, that could go nationwide with time.

Shark Tank Season 16 Episode 5 aired on ABC on November 15, 2024.
