Best known for leading Netflix's The Queen's Gambit, Hollywood's one of the most talented actresses Anya Taylor-Joy is making her way back to our screens with a chilling new series.
As announced at the Edinburgh TV Festival on Wednesday, Anya Taylor-Joy has been finalized to play Grace Bernard in the upcoming series How to Kill Your Family, adapted from Bella Mackie’s best-selling novel of the same name.
The story revolves around the revenge journey of Grace Bernard who was abandoned by her billionaire father Simon Artemis at a young age, injecting Grace with hatred, anger, and a strong desire to kill each of Simon's close family members.

It's been quite some time since fans and viewers saw Anya Taylor-Joy slaying a character on our screens, and now the actress is finally returning to a new and exciting role of bloodthirsty Grace Bernard in the upcoming series How to Kill Your Family.
While not much has been disclosed about the series, The Witch star spoke highly about Bella Mackie’s 2021 novel and expressed admiration and anticipation to play such an intriguing character. According to Tudum by Netflix, Anya Taylor-Joy said "As soon as I turned the last page, I knew I had to be a part of bringing this story to life." She added to her excitement by saying:
"After some (light) stalking of the inimitable Bella Mackie, I could not be more thrilled to be collaborating with the team... I am looking forward to getting our hands even dirtier."
The lead writer's chair has been secured by Emma Morgan, known for her commendable work in the superhero comedy series Extraordinary, followed by Taylor-Joy also contributing as executive producer for her production company, LadyKiller Productions Inc.
Bella Mackie will also work as co-producer to share her vision for the TV series adaptation of How to Kill Your Family and is joined by other producers like Woodward Gentle, Rusbridger, and Lee Morris.
How many episodes will How to Kill Your Family have?
How to Kill Your Family will have a total of eight episodes, featuring Taylor-Joy as Grace and her journey to take revenge on her own family.
If you think that Grace might show some mercy in settling the score with her father, then know that she's going to be one of the most brutal and adrenaline-pumping characters you might have seen on the screen.
Writer Emma Morgan described Grace as a "kind of complicated, dark, but utterly hilarious antihero" and added that she's incredibly excited to work on the series which has a "high body count".
While the Last Night in Soho actress will play the titular character, other cast members of How To Kill Your Family are yet to be announced.
