Acclaimed series Paradise casts a Gossip Girl alum for a new role 

Paradise has been casting new actors for its second season. Shailene Woodley was announced to be joining the show. The newest actor to be cast in the Hulu show is Thomas Doherty.

Doherty is known for his work on Gossip Girl (2021-2022) and Tell Me Lies. While he has been cast in the second season of Paradise, it is not yet known which character he is going to be playing. All we know is that he will be playing a recurring guest role in the second season.

Gossip Girl Alum in Paradise Season 2

Paradise was just released in January 2025 and has been renewed for a second season. Created by Dan Fongelman, the show follows Xavier Collins, a United States Secret Service agent trying to find out who murdered the President of the United States. He also becomes a suspect in the case but continues to look for the truth. The second season of the show is currently in the works.

The main cast includes Sterling K. Brown as Xavier Collins, Julianne Nicholson as Samantha "Sinatra" Redmond, Nicole Brydon Bloom as Agent Jane Driscoll, and James Marsden as U.S. President Cal Bradford, who is dead at the time of the show's events.

Gossip Girl alum Thomas Doherty is joining the cast of Paradise. Doherty was not in the original Gossip Girl series but in the rebooted one that premiered in 2021. He was part of the main cast and played Max Wolfe, a Manhattan private school student and a known flirt. The show has two seasons and is set in the same world as the original series, just a decade later. It also has a similar premise, revolving around the lives of high school teenagers in Manhattan.

It stars Jordan Alexander as Julien Calloway, Thomas Doherty as Max Wolfe, Whitney Peak as Zoya Lott, Tavi Gevinson as Kate Keller, Eli Brown as Otto "Obie" Bergmann IV, Emily Alyn Lind as Audrey Hope, and Evan Mock as Akeno "Aki" Menzies in some of the key roles. The creators of the original series, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, are executive producers on the reboot. Safran, who was an executive producer for the original, is the showrunner for the newer Gossip Girl.

Thomas Doherty is also well-known for playing Leo in season 2 of Tell Me Lies. Leo is one of the protagonists and Lucy's love interest on the show. Doherty has played various kinds of roles in his career, and while details about his Paradise role are not known, he is set to play another interesting character.

Paradise is streaming on Hulu. The second season is in production. Release dates have not yet been set. The first season of Paradise will be released on ABC on 7th April 2025, and new episodes will come out on Mondays at 10 p.m.
