The new 56th season of the show will be released on November 10, and yes, everyone’s favorite muppets are returning, but they are also bringing with them some famous guests. Here’s everything you need to know about the new season and more.

When does the new Sesame Street season release?

Elmo says that the latest season of Sesame Street will be released on November 10, 2025, and this time, the iconic series will be collaborating with Netflix for the same.

Netflix has decided to bring to you Big Bird, Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Oscar the Grouch, and the whole gang straight to your screen in over 30 different languages, streaming globally. The new season will be released in three volumes, giving fans something to look forward to for months.

In an interview with Netflix's Tudum, executive producer Sal Perez said:

“Season 56 reimagines Sesame Street, inviting children into the action and bringing them hand-in-hand through high-stakes stories, powerful learning moments, and laugh-out-loud surprises.”

The show promises lessons to be learnt on kindness, empathy, and problem-solving, which are themes that have always made Sesame Street more than just a show.

How to stream the new season?

Streaming the new Sesame Street is as easy as dancing your way through the theme song. All that is required for you to have your younger ones watch the show is a Netflix subscription, and your little ones are all set for having fun with Elmo, Cookie Monster, and the rest of the gang.

Each episode will be 11 minutes long, and the episodes will be based on a story and will be much more interactive and engaging than ever before.

You can expect a ton of color, a new style of animation, vibey music, and stories where kids can sing, dance, and learn important life lessons with their favorite characters.

Along with this, even though the show will be streaming on Netflix, PBS will also continue to air the new 56th season of the show.

Who’s on Sesame Street this time around?

Now let’s talk about the cast of Sesame Street, because what is a visit to the neighborhood without them?

Elmo (performed by Ryan Dillon), Grover, Bert, and Oscar (performed by Eric Jacobson) are all back. Human cast members like Suki Lopez (Nina) and Chris Knowings will also return.

The new season will also feature several famous guest stars, and the show is starting strong with NASCAR winner Bubba Wallace, who will be in the episode for some playful fun time. In his episode, he will be helping Elmo, Abby, and Zoe get through a race day in the neighborhood. Miley Cyrus will also be joining in as one of the most iconic guest stars on the show.

Fans can also expect the return of favorite segments like Elmo’s World and Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck, along with new mini-stories that focus on teamwork, friendship, and lots and lots of laughter.

The new Sesame Street season is on its way to be something truly special. It will be bright, fun, and full of heart, just like it has always been. With its new streaming home on Netflix, a new found format, and familiar faces both furry and human, the show’s next season proves that even after 56 seasons, it is still the happiest neighborhood around.

So remember on November 10, it’s time to log in to your account, sing along, and say hi to your old friends once again!
