One of the reasons why K-drama lovers watch Dear X is the stunning cast, with actors like Kim Yoo-jung, Kim Young-dae, and Kim Do-hoon leading the show. And then, Hwang In-youp appears in a cameo that goes from episode 5 to episode 8.

And little did fans know that In-gang's end would be this tragic. He wasn't killed or met with an accident. Instead, took his own life after Baek Ah-jin left him heartbroken and revealed what she had been up to.

Following his death, fans of the K-drama couldn't help from share how they actually felt after watching episode 8 of Dear X. One wrote:

"Though I knew it …. I still wasn’t ready for this 😭My baby 💔💔💔The sweetest boy who only worked so that he could provide a better life for his grandma and brother … and an angel who prioritised his beloved ones than himself was a sacrifice for a DEMON 😭🥀"

Another tweet reads:

"you can literally see the exact moment his heart breaks when ahjin’s real face shows in front of him. he never stood a chance, rest in peace ingang."

The fan expressed that In-gang never came to know Ah-jin's real face until she confessed everything to him. Ah-jin even shared the news of In-gang's grandmother's demise, followed by triggering all his past trauma.

Another Dear X fan wrote:

"He doesn’t deserve this ahjin’s evil actions literally drove him to his death."

Another fan argued that In-gang didn't deserve this end, and Ah-jin was too cruel while revealing the truth. She could have simply left him without using words that turned out to be "poison" for her. The tweet reads:

"she could have just said "let's break up," but she chose to say words that, for someone as depressed as him, would be poison... he didn't deserve all the suffering he went through, what a tragic end he had..."

One fan shared that the men in Dear X have to go through a lot of pain and insecurity when it comes to Ah-jin. Though she didn't ask them, they cannot help but help her. Just like Jae-oh and Jun-seo, who have known her since childhood and both love her unconditionally.

The tweet reads:

"I’m starting to feel bad for the men although she is still not forcing any of them to do anything 😭 BUT I wouldn’t even wish it on my enemies to be in the place of In-gang"

Now that In-gang is no more, there will be new faces that Ah-jin might have to face. Jae-oh and Jun-seo are already suffering, and with Ah-jin facing all the hatred from In-gang's fans with strikes going on, things are going to get tough for everyone.
