Since Netflix aired Love Village Season 2, the first eight episodes, on November 5, 2024, fans have eagerly awaited the upcoming episodes. New episodes will be aired on November 12, 2024.
The reality show's eighth episode, Flowers for the Hospital, features residents from the second season celebrating Manhattan's birthday. He also gets a comic book from Tamifull, who asks to review it. The episode ends with Manhattan, ready to make his "confession" and share his feelings.
What happened in Love Village Season 2 Episode 8? Recap explored
With nine participants, including 7 OG and two newest residents, the Love Village Season 2 advanced towards the eighth episode.
Manhattan was interested in Tamifull despite their 14-year age difference. Ayakan and Tamifull seemed eager to explore their connection with the former rescue pilot, Captain.
The residents removed the floorboards to make a sunken kotatsu, and everyone contributed to various tasks. Later in the day, when Manhattan was going to shower, he could hear Tamifull inviting Captain for a private chat.
"The fact that Tamifull had feelings for one of the other guys…It just really hurt a lot when I realize that," confessed Manhattan.
Seeing Manhattan in low spirits, Nikorun's mom, Pachi Yumi, tries to cheer him up and asks what happened.
The next day, Anchovy, "the world-class love advisor," arrived at Love Village Season 2's old house in Okinawa and surprised the residents. Show fans might remember Anchovy as an "Italian chef from the first season."
The eighth episode also highlighted how Anchovy "mistakenly understood" that three of his fellow female participants had "feelings" for him in the last season.
The hosts also discussed how Anchovy, aka Masayuki Shimada, 48, from Tokyo, had also applied to appear in the show's second season, but he couldn't clear the screening process. However, since:
"It seemed like a missed opportunity; the show brought him in the second season as a "love advisor" to help the residents, whoever needed the help."
After introducing himself to the residents, Anchovy said he would cook a special meat dish later that day. He also mentioned that he was there to offer advice; hence, anyone can approach him and ask for anything they might have doubts about.
Captain was the first to go there; however, he mentioned he was not in love. Next up was Manhattan, who talked about food dishes and Sardines. He also mentioned his birthday, which was two days later.
Gitarin asked Anchovy about another cast member from the previous season, Hollywood.
"Hollywood's my hero. What kind of guy was he? Did he just go and get what he wanted?"
The next resident was Tamifull, who discussed a few things with Anchovy on Love Village Season 2. Later, he went to the kitchen and cooked many delicious dishes. Everyone enjoyed the dishes that the Italian Chef had prepared. After their dinner together, Anchovy left the show.
On the following day, Pachi Yumi had a private conversation with Manhattan. Both of them had bad knees, which they also discussed earlier.
"This afternoon, some hibiscus saplings arrive," shared Manhattan.
Later in the day, he planned those saplings with Tamifull. She then rushed to the girls' room and grabbed her comic book. She gave it to Manhattan to read and told him to share his opinion when he finished it.
Love Village Season 2 Episode 8 featured Manhattan confessing how he "really liked" Tamifull, who gave him her comic book about her journey of overcoming cancer.
Manhattan ended up reading the entire book until midnight, his birthday. Seeing Manhattan's efforts, show host Atsushi got emotional, even though he mentioned that the scene was not something to cry over.
"He thanked her when he took the book, and Tamifull wrote her life story in the book, which shows how she lived through some very tough times," shared the male host.
Love Village Episode 8: Manhattan's birthday celebration
Female cast members wore "flashy makeup" from the Bubble Era. While getting ready, Manhattan asked Tamifull for a private chat in the garden. Seeing her with makeup surprised him, and he found her "cute."
He then shared his views on Tamifull's book, saying it was "fascinating" and a "masterpiece."
"I really liked the character Tamifull. Even now, you are cheerful. You are consistently saying, 'Damn it, I won't let myself get beaten down,'" shared Manhattan.
After everyone was in the dining area, Manhattan came wearing Makio's sunglasses and made an entrance for his birthday party. Later that night, he asked everyone to go to the living room, and then everyone learned about how he had also been a standup comedian.
He then asked everyone their names and ages and performed funny one-liners, which made everyone laugh. Before the episode ended, it hinted that Manhattan was "ready for the next day," which might indicate that he would confess his feelings for one of his fellow residents.
Love Village Season 2 hosts discussed how seeing Manhattan's behavior over the past few days, he might confess his love for Tamifull.
