Jeopardy! returned for its Monday weeknight episode on October 28, 2024, and Will Wallace seemed all prepared to compete for the fifth time. Two new players accompanied the four-time champion: Ian Taylor from Cleveland, Ohio, a food sales rep by profession, and Heather Ryan from New York, a health program director.
On last Friday's episode, Will had a smooth run, and potentially winning the Monday episode promised him a spot in the Tournament of Champions with win number 5. After Ken Jennings introduced all the players, he quickly moved to the categories:

Will Wallace started the round with the correct answer. Ian got lucky during the first few minutes with Daily Double and wagered $2,200. Heather started late but soon caught up, and had the second spot after the first break, putting champion Will at the bottom. The scores after the Jeopardy rounds were:

- Heather Ryan: $3,800
- Will Wallace: $2,400

Jeopardy! October 28, 2024: Double Jeopardy, winner, and Final Jeopardy Clue
The categories of the Double Jeopardy round were:
"Extreme Canada-Exclamations!-Mythological Resumes-Medical Matters-Caution-Compound Word Construction Zone."
Wallace opened the second round of Jeopardy! with Excalimations! He got Double Daily but missed it because of a small spelling variation. On the other hand, Ian and Heather seemed to be in their zone and kept on increasing their score. As the second round concluded, Ian Taylor was far ahead of the other two with $17,400.
Heather again managed to grab the second spot with $9,800 and Will Wallace seemed to not have the best of his days and ended at the bottom with $8,000. Ken announced the category for the Final Jeopardy round, which was, "Stage Musical Setting". The trivia for the Final Jeopardy round of the October 28 episode was:
"Turned into a Nazi headquarters in 1933, the nightspot Eldorado is said to have inspired this fictional place."
All three players were given 30 seconds to come up with the right answer. Ian and Heather came up with the right answer, however, Will guessed wrong and was left with just $2, as he wagered almost everything. Heather wagered it all and won $19,600, unfortunately just 1 dollar short of the winning amount! Ian Tyaor became the new champion of Jeopardy! with $19,601.
The correct answer for the Final Jeopardy clue was:
"What is The Kit Kat Club?'
