“It’s over“- The Boys star Erin Moriarty writes a teary eyes message as the Amazon Prime show wraps filming the final Season

There's bittersweet news for fans of the popular Prime Video show, The Boys - filming has wrapped for the fifth season of the show. This season will also be the final one in the series, as confirmed by the streaming giant. Cast members of the show took to their social media to share their emotions about the ending of the popular superhero show that spanned over five extremely successful seasons.

Erin Moriarty, who played the role of one of the main characters in The Boys - Annie a.k.a. Starlight - took to her Instagram, sharing an image of herself crying from the set, sharing her emotions about the ending of the show.

She wrote,

"honestly, f**k “don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” the tears have begun. the posts are incoming. I said goodbye to most of my work family today and I’ll be ready to smile about it when I’m ready to smile about it."

She ended her post caption with a note for her fellow actors on the show, saying,

"to my Boys fam: love you, c*nts. forever."

The Boys featured a stellar cast of actors. Aside from Erin Moriarty in a leading role, the show also featured great names like Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, and Nathan Mitchell in primary roles.

Other cast members of The Boys also share their emotions about the show ending besides Erin Moriarty

Erin Moriarty was not the only one feeling all her emotions about the ending of the show - other cast members also took to their social media to share how emotional they felt about the ending of the popular series.

While Jack Quaid, who played the protagonist of the show - Hughie - mentioned that the feeling was bittersweet, the creator and showrunner of the series, Eric Kripke, took to his Instagram account to share an image of the set with a very heartfelt caption, reflecting on how this would be the last time he was on the set of The Boys.

He wrote,

"This is the last time I'll ever be on this set. It'll be torn down soon. It's bittersweet, but my primary feeling is gratitude."

Speaking about the experience with the cast and crew of, he wrote,

"We have the best cast, the best crew, the most fun story to write, and something that is impossible to predict: the right timing. You wait your whole career to have maybe two of those things, if you're lucky. We got all of them. To #TheBoys family: thank you, I love you all. To the fans: thanks for watching, can't wait for you to see the grand finale. That's a wrap."

The filming for Season 5 has concluded, and the season is slated for a 2026 release. Fans can stream all the previous seasons of the show on Prime Video.
