The Route 91 Harvest Festival was held annually from 2014 to 2017. This country music festival attracted fans from all over the country who came to watch their favorite singers perform. The 2017 festival was held in the Las Vegas Village, on a 15-acre lot on Las Vegas Boulevard, and featured headlining sets from Eric Church, Sam Hunt, and Jason Aldean, to name a few.

On the event's final night, a lone gunman, identified as Stephen Paddock, opened fire on the crowd and later killed himself. The tragic event left people with unanswered questions about the motive of the killings.

Wes Perry, who was staying on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, recalled the tragic day, telling Rolling Stone:

"I was near the end of the hallway, and he was at the very end of the hallway. I looked out the window and could see clearly down at the festival site—which is actually why I loved that room—and it was all dark. I had the same view as the shooter."

According to Perry, the shooter started firing at 10:05 p.m., shortly after he had gotten into his room to rest and charge his phone and rest after spending the day at the festival. All he remembers is the window of a room near his being smashed and gunfire erupting.

According to reports, the man responsible for the death of reportedly 60 people that night was a gambler who was not satisfied with the treatment he was receiving at the Las Vegas Casinos. There are reports that he was obsessed with guns.

The shooter allegedly set up his nest on the Mandalay Bay Hotel's 32nd floor, shooting ruthlessly over 1000 rounds into the mass gathering below. By the time the police got to him, he had already shot himself to death.

Mindy Robinson highlights the inconsistencies, discrepancies, and even the lack of footage from that night. She points out that the timeline of events does not add up. The details released by the media and the authorities are not enough and also talk about how the narrative was presented to the public. She argues there is so much more to it that they are all trying to keep under wraps. She also clarifies that all her research presented in the documentary, however more sensible than what the officials explained, is her opinion on the incident:

“I think I can at least lay down a more reasonable and plausible premise for you than that. Disclaimer, it’s called an opinion.”
