Spring Baking Championship Season 11 Episode 4: Priya wins the preheat with her delicious and creative faux eggs dessert

The fourth episode of the Spring Baking Championship Season 11 started with host Jesse Palmer explaining the first challenge, i.e., preheat to the bakers.

"Bakers, for your preheat, we want some eggs. But your half dozen should be made out of chocolate and they should be filled with delicious baked goods. We want your eggs to look like the real thing and be beautifully decorated for Spring. And to add to the realism, go ahead and fill the center with a sweet surprise that resembles a yolk."

Listening to him talking about making chocolate-filled "delicious baked goods," Priya was excited:

"I'm kind of thrilled. I am a chocolatier. I won the first preheat challenge of this season working with chocolate and I'm going to do it again," confessed Priya before the challenge.

On the other hand, the show host reminded all the bakers what was at stake. He mentioned the Spring gift basket as an advantage, which could be a "game changer." He mentioned they had "eggxactly" two and a half hours to make their faux eggs.

While beginning the preparations, Spring Baking Championship contestant Priya shared that it was the day when she could "actually get to show off" a little bit. She confessed to the cameras about how she makes chocolate eggs around Spring. The female pastry chef shared that the chocolate needed to be "perfectly" tempered to make the perfect eggs.

"You're trying to line up those fat crystals to do the thing you want them to do and that's to be firm, shiny, in line. I'm working with cocoa butter colors to give this a really fun splash of Spring. I'm coating chocolate inside of it," Priya added.

After the judges tasted all the baker's desserts, the host then revealed the final decision:

"Bakers, you may have scrambled to finish your faux eggs, but they were fabulous, and one of your desserts very much "eggceeded" "eggspecations" and it was baked by Priya."

As the host announced the pre-heat winner, everyone clapped and cheered for Priya. He added that Priya's abstract design and the delicious coconut mousse had a fluffy texture similar to a softboiled egg. She also won the gift to trade ingredients.

Listening to Jesse Palmer stating the facts and how she exceeded her performance, Priya told the cameras that she "did it" and felt "really good" about it.
