Big Brother UK housemates Sam and Tate talked about being a queer individual during one of their recent chats. While the two were on the subject, Tate asked Sam about their coming out and how everything worked out for them.

Listening to Tate talking about queer representation and how times have evolved from the past decade, Sam shared his thoughts. He also talked about how he felt growing up, liking boys, and revealed his coming out story.

"I remember being a kid, and, like, always just liked boys. I knew it but when I tried, when I expressed it, they were like, Oh, you don't think about that at your age, kind of thing. So I just put it back. I was 15 when I came out," shared Big Brother UK star Sam.

One of the conversations between Big Brother UK housemates Tate and Sam was about queer individuals and similar topics. During their chat, Tate asked Sam about getting married and more.

"Is that what you see (for) yourself, like marriage and all that stuff? Someone? Is that what you're wanting?" asked Tate.

Responding to that, Sam revealed that when he was a kid, he was under the impression that he could only get married to a girl.

"No. Like I remember... when I was being a kid...when I was a kid, I thought you could only get married to a girl. So I thought, I don't wanna get married because I don't wanna be a man. So I never had the option and, then I got older and I was like 'ahh," shared Sam.

Big Brother UK star Tate asked Sam if they knew about being ga since an early age.

While answering Tate's question, Sam revealed their coming out story. He recalled liking boys and being transparent about it. However, at the time, he was told not to think about such things. Hence, he "just put it back." Later, at the age of 15, Sam came out.

"Like, 10, 15 years ago then, even. It was different then. Different even now to, like, now I'd like think it'd be easier for folk to come out nowadays," said Tate.

He added:

'It's just so much more discussed and prevalent in the culture now than it ever was. You know, like f*cking Pride flags, on, like, walkways and that. Like, it's, there was none."

Sam agreed with him. He added that it's more visible now compared to a decade ago.
