HBO's Harry Potter reboot series is currently shooting one of the most pivotal and iconic scenes from J.K. Rowling's fantastical tale in London.
Now that the reboot has cast all its major characters, filming is in full swing, and fans are being treated to new set photos every day. Last week, we got the first official glimpses of Dominic McLaughlin's Harry Potter and Nick Frost's Hagrid shooting the famous scene where Hagrid brings Harry to the Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley.
Just days after, a new set of photos has revealed the official first look at the Weasley family, at the iconic King's Cross station in London. The decade-spanning adaptation is currently shooting the iconic scene from Book 1, when The Boy Who Lived first meets the Weasley family and enters Platform 9¾.
Fans have noticed that Alistair Stout's Ron Weasley is wearing a Chudley Cannons t-shirt, representing his favorite Quidditch team from the books.

HBO Harry Potter: An exclusive look at the Weasley family
After the first peek at McLaughlin's Boy Who Lived and Frost's beloved gamekeeper, fans were treated to another exclusive look from the HBO Harry Potter sets. The set photos feature the Weasley family in an iconic Harry Potter location, King's Cross Station in London.
Visited by fans all year round, this location certainly needs no introduction, and the pictures suggest that the revived Weasley family is gearing up to shoot one of the most pivotal moments from Rowling's story. The exclusive photos feature the Weasley matriarch Molly (Katherine Parkinson), along with her children Ron and Ginny (Gracie Cochrane).
The viral photos gave a first sneak peek into Ron and Ginny's Muggle clothing, as they gear up to enter Platform 9¾ and board the magical Hogwarts Express. Fans were quick to notice a small but wholesome detail in Ron's clothing, who appears to be wearing a Chudley Cannons t-shirt, expressing his support for his favorite Quidditch team, over a red and black plaid buttoned shirt. He was accompanied by his sister Ginny, who appears to be in cute overalls, styled with a crocheted jacket.
This exciting first look proves that the HBO Harry Potter reboot is sure to adapt Rowling's magical world with all its details. This little detail about Ron Weasley's T-shirt also suggests that the show will tap into unexplored lore and storylines from the movies.
The HBO Harry Potter series will also include an omitted Weasley from the films
While Harry Potter fans were initially skeptical about the HBO reboot, they have started to show affection and excitement, especially after the network made a crucial revelation about one of the Weasleys. Fans have long criticized the omission of Charley Weasley, Molly's second-oldest son, from the movies. While he was a crucial part of the books, who even joined the Order of the Phoenix during the Second Wizarding War, he was altogether omitted from the books.
Since Charley went to study dragons in Romania after he graduated from Hogwarts, it was rather easy for the movies to omit his character. However, the HBO Harry Potter reboot is righting this major wrong by including Charley in the series, as HBO earlier announced:
“Charlie’s in Romania at the moment, but will be joining us soon enough.”
This is certainly another important detail that might make the reboot stand out from the movies. The longer series format certainly has more potential for the makers to include characters that were forgotten/omitted in the film franchise.
