The Pitt star Supriya Ganesh talks about her character in Season 2 of the HBO Max medical drama

Supriya Ganesh, who was studying neurology when she got her role in The Pitt, experienced on screen how her life might have been if she had become a real doctor. In Season, Ganesh's character was struggling with low confidence and was reprimanded by Robby several times due to her paying too much attention to one patient, slowing the process in the emergency department.

Throughout the season, Dr. Mohan learned many new lessons and became a huge part of the team. In her Cosmopolitan interview, she revealed how she coped with all the heavy moments her character experienced in The Pitt Season 1. She shared that through various tricks, such as 'deep breathing,' she was able to deal with all the pressure she experienced in Season 1 and get 'out of her character.'

However, in Season 2, her character will go through much more pressure, which the actress struggled to get herself out of. While she did not reveal details about what Dr. Mohan will go through, Ganesh hinted that her character is going to 'have a bad day.' She stated:

"Dr. Mohan kind of doesn’t have a good day and that lasts for a few hours. I actually had a really hard time getting out of character this season. I don’t know if it was because of my background that made it feel so real."

She further added:

"In my head, I think I’m playing out the version of doctor I would have been in real life. Or maybe it was because this is the first time I’ve just had to be this upset for so long. Over months and months. It was just hard to step out of the feeling."

She also revealed that she spoke about not being able to let go of her character with her co-star and EP of the show, Noah Wyle, who told her that he struggles with this as well. Ganesh also revealed that out of all the characters she had played so far, Dr. Mohan from the medical drama might be dealing with the worst, teasing her character arc in the upcoming episodes of The Pitt Season 2.
