Considered one of the most popular sitcoms on CBS, Ghosts follows the narrative of the original British series of the same name.

A quick recap of Ghosts Season 4 Episode 1
As mentioned above, Ghosts Season 4 Episode 1 starts right after the events of season 3, as Sam and Jay had to rescue Isaac. Chapter 4 welcomed back the key figures along with new characters like Mary Holland as the Puritan ghost Patience who kidnapped Isaac.
Though Holland briefly appeared in the finale of season 3, the latest chapter marks her official debut in the spooky narrative. The premiere begins with a flashback to 1962, exploring Patience's history as a human.
As it begins, Patience is seen as a young woman, abandoned by the Puritan community over extreme beliefs like supporting the idea of eliminating a 5-year-old kid over witchcraft accusations.
The opening didn't just feature Patience's strict beliefs but also hinted at the trauma and isolation she suffered. Following the flashback, the story goes back to the present day in Ghosts Season 4 Episode 1 as Isaac has been taken away by the new ghosts during the wedding chaos.

Sam, Jay, and their spooky housemates decide to launch a search for Isaac while fearing what Patience might do next. As the gang continues their quest in the Ghosts Season 4 premiere, Nancy makes a notable confession about Isaac's abductions.
She tells Sam and the other ghosts that Isaac is with Patience and leads them to a basement to recreate the events before the abductions. As a result, Patience showed up and this time, she decided to take Sasappis (Sass) with her.
When Isaac is trying to escape Patience, he mentions enjoying the Puritan ghost's company but misses his friends. So, to make sure Isaac doesn't feel lonely, Patience leaves and comes back with Saas, bringing him a friend. This adds to the comic element of the sitcom, as Isaac hoped to be free, but ended up with Saas.
The episode continued with Sam, Jay, and other ghosts trying to find Isaac and Saas, and later discovering a mystical dirt cave where they have been kept. Interestingly, the cave reflects Patience's internal battles and the complexities of her nature.
The team then formed a ghost chain to save their friends, highlighting the teamwork of humans and ghosts. As the Ghosts Season 4 premiere comes to an end, Patience decides to free Saas and Isaac after facing guilt and desire to make friends.
The episode ends after highlighting Isaac and Patience's history and how he finally decides to become a better person after being abducted. In the end, we see the ghosts welcoming Patience at B&B and later she forms a camaraderie with Alberta.
What to expect from Ghosts Season 4 Episode 2?
Now that Patience has freed Isaac and Saas, episode 2 might feature what's next for Patience. Season 4 also revealed Pete's new ability to travel beyond the house, hinting at the more comedic and spooky adventures of Sam and Jay.
As the episode title suggests, it will focus on Sam's dad Frank (played by Dean Norris) who was seen screaming out of terror in the teaser of Ghosts Season 4.
