When Bode returns to Edgewater, Sharon’s attitude towards her diagnosis changes; wanting to spend more time with her family, Sharon tries her best to beat the disease. For a moment, things look good as her deceased daughter’s ex-boyfriend, Jake, offers his kidney.
Sadly, Jake suffers a severe reaction to the anesthesia, rendering him unable to donate his kidney. Once again, Sharon accepts her fate and begins to work on her bucket list. Viewers anticipated her character’s end in the season 1 finale as Sharon collapses and is rushed to the hospital.
