He adds, “I have a bit of a negativity bias.” However, he would not completely “bet against” a second season. A slim chance definitely remains of the possibility of The Penguin Season 2. It must not be forgotten that The Penguin is a limited series.

Hence, just like any limited series, the story ends with a few episodes. However, the fame, along with the appreciation that this series received, is undoubtedly an indication that the storyline deserves more. At the 77th Emmys this year, The Penguin shocked the world with its performance. Receiving a total of 24 nominations is definitely a mark of a hit TV show.

This huge number of nominations across different categories indicates the intricacies this series truly comes with. It is not unlikely to see limited TV shows getting another season when the response is this positive. With the vast recognition that this series received worldwide, the chances of getting The Penguin Season 2 are definitely not low.
