Celebrity Wheel of Fortune rescheduled its entire season 4 from October 12, 2024, and it will now premiere in 2025. The news came in on October 11, when the channel, ABC, revealed that the fans have to wait a little longer to witness Pat Sajak spin the wheel for the last time. Pat Sajak announced his departure from the Wheel of Fortune on June 7, as he hosted its last episode of season 41.
However, fans were excited to see Pat Sajak host the celebrity version that was scheduled to premiere this October. ABC had to shift the season to 2025 due to six Monday-night Football simulcasts. The decision was taken in synchrony with the NFL and will affect only the 2024-2025 season, as announced by the ABC in the press release.
The official statement of the press release stated:
"Celebrity Wheel of Fortune,’ ‘Press Your Luck’ and ABC News’ ‘Scamanda’ will premiere in 2025. This move will give the ABC game shows ‘Celebrity Wheel of Fortune’ and ‘Press Your Luck’ a more consistent, weekly run in midseason when there are less preemptions (i.e. football, 2024 election)."
