Shark Tank Australia investor Jane Lu reveals business ideas that entrepreneurs would benefit from

While sharing many essential aspects of starting a business and how to work everything out, starting from logo to business strategies and more, the female entrepreneur stated:

"I made $1 million in 15 months. Here's how you can do it too..."

Further, she shared the following insights for startup owners:

1. Find your winning idea

She asked a few vital questions to help entrepreneurs start their businesses here. She also mentioned getting customer reviews and how to improvise if there are bad reviews. She talked about using AI and trend tools. Along with that, "stalking" competitors was also mentioned.

2. Validate before you invest

Before starting a business, ask yourself whether that is an "actual demand" or a "cool idea." Entrepreneurs can check Google Trends and do keyword research to get the answer. She referred to them as "free market research." Additional points included posting on socials, setting up a lending page, and tracking signups.

3. Price it right

For this, Shark Tank Australia's investor talked about learning about the "numbers" and getting to know the facts such as "real profit." After that, picking a "lane" based on budget, mid-tier, or premium was the next step. Following up on that, testing the price was also a crucial step. She mentioned how people buy "value" and not just the price.

4. Build a brand that stands out

The fourth point was about what logo, colors, and fonts should be used to build your brand. She mentioned choosing from fun, premium, and bold options. The Shark Tank Australia's mentor also stated that sharing your story would be vital for marketing, as "why" makes a huge difference. She mentioned that customers buy from brands they can "connect" with.

5. Source your product

The next was sourcing your product, viz. manufacturing, wholesaling, or private labeling. After that's decided, choose suppliers through which you would be selling your product. While doing that, vital steps included sorting out shipping and logistics. Finally, when everything is decided, start with "small" orders before accepting big orders.

6. Set up your store

Since almost everything has gone online globally, the Shark Tank Australia mentor advised individuals to buy a domain and set up payment methods. Along with that, she also started - to install analytics from day one. At last, she mentioned testing the website and, if there are any issues, "fix it fast."
