More about Alex vs ARod
Alex vs ARod follows the iconic career of basketball legend Alex Rodriguez, who rose to fame back in the early '90s after making his sports debut for the Seattle Mariners (1993 Major League Baseball). Alex was only 18 years old at the time, playing shortstop, and his rapid development over seven years landed him a spot with the Texas Rangers.
The contract was considered quite controversial at the time. After achieving success with the Texas Rangers, Alex got a place in the New York Yankees while gracing the pitch alongside Derek Jeter. He found stardom in a very short time, becoming a public figure who often made the front page.
But in a shocking turn of events, in 2009, Alex Rodriguez was reportedly found to have used a performance-enhancing drug in the past, which tarnished his iconic career. He also won his first championship that same year with the New York Yankees. Four years later, Alex faced a major PED suspension after a report linked him to illegal substances used to boost performance. He returned to the field after the scandal, aiming to start fresh, but his legendary career was already considered over by then.
Alex vs ARod will also feature interviews with Alex Rodriguez's family and friends, who will discuss the baseball icon's journey on the field. Hall of Famers and Alex's former MLB manager will also appear in the docuseries, sharing their insights on his rather tumultuous career. Here's a list of the executive producers who have worked on the project:
- Lindsay Shookus
- Ameeth Sankaran
