Suits has been getting all the love it rightfully deserves for years after it began in 2011 and concluded in 2019. Before airing on Netflix, the legal drama was accessible on USA Network. The series ran for nine successful seasons and took its final and emotional curtain call in 2019.
While there will probably never be another Harvey Specter, Louis Litt, and Mike Ross again, there most certainly never be another Donna, considering the kind of love she received from fans. However, it was revealed that a spinoff, Suits L.A. has been in the works for quite some time.
Suits L.A. will have a refreshing start with a new narrative in play. Instead of the more serious legal affairs such as property, divorce, ownership, stock, and company assets, the series will be set at an entertainment law firm. It’s only natural since L.A. is where multitudes of Hollywood stars live.
While fans have been anticipating an official drop date, many believe that Suits and the spinoff stand apart and that the spinoff may even be better than the original.

Reasons why Suits L.A. might be better than the OG Suits
1) The completely new cast
Suits L.A. features a new cast and completely new characters instead of the regular members from Suits. This is primarily because each character reached a satisfactory happy ending with zero cliffhangers towards the end of season 9 of the original series.
Nonetheless, Stephen Amell will join the Suits Universe as the series protagonist Teddy Black. His character is described as a workaholic prosecutor starting afresh after a tarnished reputation. Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, Bryan Greenberg, and Troy Winbush will join Amell as part of the cast.
2) Cameos from the OG cast of Suits
Every Suits fan has manifested the entire cast reuniting at least once (something that came true during last year’s Oscars). While nothing is set in stone, there is a high possibility that the original cast may appear in a cameo.
A prime example of this would be when Patrick J. Adams made several cameos until season 9, even though he officially departed in 2017. The same might apply to other members of the cast
3) A whole new law firm
Fans of the original series would know that for any lawyer in Suits, the endgame was to have their name go up on the wall. The journey for most of their names getting there was rather tumultuous.
With a new firm in L.A., the narrative would entail an entirely different fresh start. Black is a prosecutor starting from rock bottom. The former federal prosecutor has to begin anew and also get used to working at a firm with entirely different morals and new people catering justice to the entertainment industry.
4) Based in L.A. instead of New York
Instead of fans catching a glimpse of the mammoth skyscrapers with twinkling lights at night - a view from Harvey’s office, viewers may get to enjoy views of beaches, urban communities, Beverly Hills, and more. Unlike Suits which was filmed in Manhattan, New York, Suits L.A. is being produced and filmed in Los Angeles.
L.A. might not be the concrete jungle, but it has its unique charms and new opportunities for the characters. Moreover, the protagonist relocates his entire life from his cushy job in Vancouver to a challenging start in Los Angeles.
5) A new Harvey Spectre and Mike Ross dynamic
Fans believe that no one can ever replace the dynamic that Mike Ross and Harvey Specter shared. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for more bromance or a new iconic duo. Mike and Harvey have taken their curtain call on-screen, but a new duo will potentially rise in Suits L.A.
Per a report by ScreenRant, Ted Black and a new character named Stuart Lane might be the new Harvey and Mike. While details about their characters and dynamic are strictly kept under wraps, they’d likely make a great team who have each other's backs just like Mike and Harvey did on Suits.
Suits L.A. has fans eagerly waiting for a release date and trailer possibly hoping to relive their passion for Suits.
