While the adult Sheldon is no less annoying, the younger version of the character from the sitcom, Young Sheldon, played by Iain Armitage, and which is created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro, is a character you do not want as your roommate. The show focuses on the life of Sheldon and his family in Texas in 1980s and 1990s and the shenanigans they go through.

Most of the episodes focus on how Sheldon always tries to behave superior in front of others because of his academic knowledge and because of this, even his siblings, father, and grandmother, try to keep him away from any important discussion.

Even when he grows up and goes to college, he creates problems as a roommate and is assigned a separate bedroom for himself. From regularly cracking annoying one-liners to being incapable of reading the room and providing emotional support, Sheldon is that TV character that you would kick out after staying with him one night as a roommate.

2. Carrie Bradshaw – Sex and the City

Based on the newspaper column and book by Candace Bushnell and starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, and others, this TV show from the early aughts is an iconic and revolutionary series. The show revolves around the lives of four best friends who are accomplished in their careers and live in New York City, but regularly face troubles in the matters of the heart and life.

The four leading ladies of the show are Carrie (Sarah), Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda. But the protagonist of the series is Carrie. While everyone other than Carrie displays a sense of maturity for their age, Carrie is problematic. She regularly throws tantrums, is never happy with herself, and she therefore ruins the day for her friends also.

Further, her choices in her love life are chaotic and questionable, which make living with her tiresome. While someone like Samantha is always standing by her friends, Carrie is always letting everyone down. She is toxic, and would not be a good roommate.

3. Joffrey Baratheon – Game of Thrones

Played by Jack Gleeson, Joffrey, is one of the most hated and dreaded characters in the super famous and influential fantasy series. Created by David Benioff and DB Weiss and based on the novels by George R.R. Martin, this immensely popular show is set in a fictional world where a number of noble families vie for the famed Iron Throne.

The show has a huge ensemble cast and most of the characters make questionable choices. However, Joffrey takes the cake as he has all the negative qualities that can be in one person. He is entitled, bratty, and coward. Further, he is sadistic and likes inflicting pain upon people.

Manipulative and cunning, Joffrey lacks empathy and always thinks about himself in any situation and can sacrifice others for his own benefit. An entitled and abusive brat is not someone one wants to be roommates with.

4. Nate Jacobs – Euphoria

Created by Sam Levinson, this popular teen drama became a viral hit for its memorable dialogues and performances by the cast. Starring Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and others, the show focuses on Rue (Zendaya), who is a drug addict and is trying to find her place in the world.

The show also has a huge ensemble cast and one important character in the series is Nate, played by Elordi, who is the perfect example of a self-centered and toxic playboy. While the show highlights his traumatic childhood experiences, it does not give him permission to be toxic towards others.

His character is full of insecurities and his actions in the show are problematic. He abuses Mandy, manipulates Cassie, beats Tyler, and catfishes Jules. Further, he does not show any signs of trying to change himself. Therefore, he is not someone you want as your roommate as Nate never takes responsibility for his actions.

5. Dre Johnson – Black-ish

Played by Anthony Anderson, Dre Johnson, is the protagonist and narrator of the path-breaking show, Black-ish, which talks about the differences that African-American people in US have to face in their day-to-day life.

Created by Kenya Barris and starring Tracee Ellis Ross, and others, the sitcom is hilarious and while Dre is an understandable character for the most part, he does get annoying at times. His need to be always right, his clingy attitude towards his mom, and his over-the-top advocacy for black rights make him insufferable at times.

While he is not abusive or manipulative, he does stretch out a situation because of his antics and melodrama, which can be infuriating to live with on a day-to-day basis. While he tries to be a good dad and husband and a role model for his community, his shenanigans are too much to handle and he would therefore not be the right roommate who can adjust and compromise.

6. Ross Geller – Friends

While Ross starts out as an innocent character who has a crush on Rachel, he quickly becomes controlling in his relationships and does not treat Rachel with respect. He also gets annoying at times as he loves to show off his knowledge of being a paleontologist and sometimes looks down upon his friends. His holier-than-thou attitude therefore makes him unfit to be a roommate.

As a frame story, Ted also recounts about his youthful experiences to his kids in the future, which led him to meeting their mother. The series showcases that sometimes the supporting cast is livelier than the central character. Ted is whiny, self-centered, and pretentious. Worst of all, he does not treat women well and likes to play the victim.

His victim-mindset therefore makes him an unlikeable roommate. There are many times when even though he is in a privileged position, he keeps complaining about his love life. Therefore, his insufferable character traits make him an unworthy roommate.

The show revolves around the multiple games of betrayal and manipulation that Frank employs to get to the highest seat. His character is amoral and ruthless from the beginning and he does not shy away from using people like things and then killing them.

He loves orchestrating complex games for his personal gain and is shrewd enough to read a person quickly and use it to his advantage. His manipulative nature, therefore, makes him a dangerous and unfit roommate as he would very likely cause troubles.
