She is forced to retell and relive this horrific incident multiple times in court until the two male detectives assigned to her case decide that she is lying. She is bullied into retracting her statement, and the case is closed.
Three years later, detectives Grace Rasmussen (Toni Collette) and Karen Duvall (Merritt Wever) are working on a case of a serial rapist who has a birthmark on his left calf, and Adler’s case is reopened.
7) A Few Good Men
It is one of the classic legal thriller films based on Aaron Sorkin's 1989 play. Sorkin adapted it for a film directed by Rob Reiner and produced by Reiner, David Brown, and Andrew Scheinman.
The movie follows the court martial of two U.S. Marines. They are accused of the murder of their fellow Marine officer. The film is an investigation into this accusation, and their lawyers build up a case to prove their innocence. The 2024 series follows a widowed ex-lawyer, Matlock, played by Kathy Bates, who takes up a job at the law firm Jacobson & Moore to raise her grandson and earn some money. But it is soon revealed that she might be harboring her secrets and is a woman on a mission at the filmmaking the suspenseful atmosphere.
