Yella Beezy will go on trial on February 2, 2026, as per the recent report by WFAA. Beezy is accused of arranging the murder-for-hire of rapper Mo3.
Melvin Abdul Noble Jr., aka Mo3, was shot in November 2020. He was 28. According to the reports, the shooter who fired at Mo3 escaped the scene shortly after the attack. While Melvin was rushed to the hospital, he did not survive.
According to WFAA, Markies Deandre Conway, famous by the name Yella Beezy, allegedly hired a man named Kewon Dontrell White to kill Mo3. White is jailed on a nine-year gun sentence, while Devin Maurice Brown, another person tied to the rapper's death, is in Dallas County Jail awaiting trial in November.
According to the Justice Department:
"Mr. White, who had been previously convicted of felony offenses involving unauthorized use of motor vehicles and evading arrest and detention, possessed a 9mm semi-automatic pistol."
What charges is Yella Beezy facing in Mo3's murder case?
Beezy has reportedly been indicted on capital murder-for-hire in connection with the killing of rapper Mo3. While his trial is set for next year, he is under house arrest after being released on bail in March upon posting a $750,000 bond.
While he has been linked to the murder-for-hire case involving Mo3, the rapper denied knowing Mo3 during an interview with Vlad. In the interview clip uploaded by VladTV in March, after hearing Mo3’s name, Beezy responded:
"I don't know who that is."
Vlad also brought up Mo3’s track “2 Nineteen,” calling it a diss song aimed at Beezy. In reply, Beezy said he had never heard of it.
Yella Beezy posts a spiritual message on Instagram Story
On August 25, the same date as his trial date was announced, the rapper uploaded an Instagram story seeking help from God. In the story he wrote:
“HEAVENLY FATHER, I SURRENDER MY THOUGHTS TO YOU. LORD, RENEW MY MIND AND WASH AWAY EVERY DOUBT, FEAR, AND DISTRACTION, AND FILL MY MIND WITH YOUR TRUTH. RENEW MY SPIRIT WITH PEACE, WISDOM, AND CLARITY."
He continued:
"HELP ME TO REPLACE EVERY LIE AND TO THINK ON WHAT IS GOOD, PURE, AND PLEASING TO YOU, SO THAT MY LIFE MAY REFLECT YOUR WILL. IT’S IN JESUS’ NAME I PRAY. AMEN.”
However, it is unclear whether the post was linked to the trial date announcement or is simply a coincidence, as the rapper did not mention it directly.
Yella Beezy could be sentenced to life behind bars or even the death penalty if found guilty.
