Lifestyle and family influencer, Lindsay Dewey, is working on an upcoming children's book, which was inspired by her late son, Reed. Her 22-month-old son tragically passed away in February after a mirror fell on him in their home in Idaho. Dewey took to Instagram to announce the news of her book. She captioned the post:

"I've been quietly working on something VERY special.. And I figured now was a good time to share with you all since it’s nearing completion. This is all so new to me, but ✨🦁 I've written a children's book! 🦁✨"

She also announced the name of the children's book as Reed's Roar. She further elaborated on what the book is about. Lindsay wrote:

"This sweet book is about bravery, sacrifice, and kindness. I wanted to write a story to honor Reeds life. To bring beauty and inspiration from ashes. It was something I knew I wanted to do shortly after he went to Heaven. It's my job to make sure his life remains honored and remembered."

How did Lindsay Dewey start writing the children's book?

In the caption of her Instagram post, Lindsay Dewey also shared with her followers how she began writing the book. She said:

"This story was born on an airplane via my notes app. I prayed and pondered and shortly came up with the inspiration to write it."

She continued:

"I’ve been praying over this book nonstop and I hope it touches the hearts of all who read it. I've been working closely with a publishing team to fine-tune it and bring it to market. We're almost done and I can't wait to see how it all turns out. This project is near and dear to my heart for obvious reasons and I will be sharing more details soon!"

Lindsay Dewey hopes that her book will be loved by both parents and children alike. Despite the book being inspired by a sad event in her life, Lindsay made sure to keep the book "lighthearted". She said:

"It's a great book for any child in your life, with a meaningful message based on my baby boy's story. Don’t worry I’ve kept it lighthearted, creative, and children-age appropriate. My prayer is that this book will become one of you and your child's favorite book to read!"
