The Blue Origin all-female spaceflight marks a new chapter in space tour
The rocket took off at 9:30 in the morning (Eastern Time) from Blue Origin's launch site in Van Horn, Texas. While space tourism is still in its early stages, this mission stood out for its composition. It is the first time since Valentina Tereshkova’s groundbreaking solo journey in 1963 that an all-female crew has entered space.

Sanchez got emotional. She said,
“I don’t think you can describe it. It was, like, quiet, but then also really alive. You look at [the Earth] and you’re like, ‘We’re all in this together.’ We’re so connected. More connected than you realize. All these things that divide us but we’re not.”

Bowe talked about the connection she felt with her crew members.
"You could just feel the energy in the capsule," she described. "And when we got up there and we got out of our seats, we all just looked at each other.
