Shia LaBeouf praises Timothée Chalamet in a recent email exchange.
Shia LeBeouf put an end to the rumoured beef between him and actor Timothee Chalamet. Quoting Rudyard Kipling‘s 1895 poem 'If', LaBeouf tweeted the email Chalamet sent him, complementing his performance in his recent play Henry Johnson. The post was captioned:
"'If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken, twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools.' Timothée Chalamet is doing better work than anyone alive - we been good.”
In the email the Call Me by Your Name actor wrote to Shia LaBeouf:
"Absolutely blown away by your work the other night," the message purportedly from Chalamet reads. "Totally electric, totally present at every turn, king of your kingdom even if that kingdom is a miserable 4x4 prison cell. What a fantastic play. I hope you guys take it to New York. And I hope this is the beginning of your work on stage and not an anomaly !!"
To which LaBeouf cheekily replied:
"Thank You Doggy, every blessing to you, fun watching you evolve, take ownership, Bang Bang."
Previously, the two were rumoured to be beefing over Timothee's 2025 SAG Awards acceptance speech, where he talked about wanting to achieve greatness.
He said,''I can’t downplay the significance of this award, because it means the most to me. I know we’re in a subjective business, but the truth is, I’m really in pursuit of greatness."
Shia LaBeouf talked about Timothee's speech with Hollywood Reporter:
Then I hear Timothée Chalamet get up and he says something like, 'I want to be great.' I so know the feeling. On him, it’s cute. On me, it wasn't cute. You know what I'm saying?"
This wreaked havoc over the internet as fans brought up abuse allegations levelled against Shia LaBeouf by ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs in a 2020 lawsuit, where he denied all allegations.

However, the fans didn't quite react as Shia LaBeouf must have expected, as some people brought up his past while others hyped him up.

It seems, though, that both Shia LaBeouf and Timothee have buried any hatchets that may have been there between them.
