Erling Haaland has now confirmed that he is going through his yearly phase of playing Minecraft.

Erling Haaland has shared his thoughts about gaming on other occasions. After Manchester City's 3-0 victory against West Ham in May 2023, he scored his 35th goal, which also made him the highest single-season goal scorer in Premier League history.

He was interviewed by Sky Sports as he came off the pitch and was asked if there was any pressure in trying to chase even more legendary records.

“I will become crazy in my head so I don’t think of this,” Haaland said. “I will go home now and play some video games, eat something, and then sleep.”

When asked, he chuckled and responded,

“I cannot say—it’s too embarrassing.”

This insight into Erling Haaland’s life confirms that even a fierce competitor like him has a relaxing side; in this particular case, he plays video games where he gets to ‘mine virtual blocks’ just like the millions of people.

And as he himself put it:

“Ohhh that time of the year.”
