"I’m still up for it": Bella Ramsey explains past comment about their desire to play Spider-Man

Bella Ramsey is an English actor who has established their industry standing with memorable roles in Game of Thrones and The Last of Us. They became almost instantaneous fan favourites in both instances and are now setting their sights on what the future may hold.

In the most recent news about the former Lyanna Mormont star, Bella Ramsey recently caught up with Variety on the red carpet for the Critics' Choice Awards. Interestingly, when asked about a prior statement they had made regarding potentially playing Spiderman at some point in the future, Bella seemed visibly surprised, before doubling down on their past comments.

"It’s so funny. Just a passing comment can make such a stir, it turns out. Listen, I’m still up for it, but I’ve not actually thought twice about it since to be honest."

The reporter also quipped that Bella Ramsey was dressed in Spider-Man befitting colours on the red carpet before Ramsey proceeded into the event.

Interestingly, Bella Ramsey’s comments on Spider-Man originate from a Variety interview dating back to August 17, 2025. When on the topic of a potential MCU reunion with her The Last of Us castmate and friend Pedro Pascal, Ramsey said the following at the time.

“I don’t know about that. I could be Spider-Man. Tom Holland did a great job though. So maybe they do need to make a new [superhero] for me.”

She also proceeded to add an intriguing extra layer of context,

“[Spider-Man] was the first time I watched a Marvel film, and that was two months, three months ago.”

On the subject of her co-star Pedro Pascal, Ramsey shared the most common question she receives from fans,

“It’s, ‘How is Pedro Pascal? Is he as nice as he seems?’ That’s mostly what people ask me, and the answer is, ‘Yes.’…He’s here and I have not seen him in so long. I’m looking around, trying to find him.”

Funny enough, she added that their conversations deal primarily with their extensive travels due to shooting,

“Most of our texts consist of, ‘Where in the world are you? I’m here, are you there? Oh, we just missed each other.’”

Also in the conversation, Ramsey shared her ideal film role beside her dear friend Pascal,

“I think maybe like a heist movie where we’re robbing a bank together.”

Moving on to more recent news, Bella Ramsey confirmed that the scripts for The Last of Us season 3 were finalized and shared with the cast and crew at the 2026 Critics' Choice Awards, during a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter.
