Travis Kelce's ex, Kayla Nicole, is speaking up about how her past relationship has shaped her dating life.
Speaking in response to a fan's question on The Pre-Game podcast on April 3, the sports commentator revealed that in the wake of her on-again, off-again romance with Kelce, she's against sharing aspects of her dating life with the world:
“I am like John Cena now with men,” Kayla said. “You don’t see me. You don’t see me with a man. And you won’t ever see me with a man ever again until I’m married with kids.”

Kayla Nicole and Travis Kelce dated for five years, and one year after they broke up, the Kansas City Chiefs player began dating Taylor Swift in 2023.
During the segment, Nicole shared that men may think she's being “sneaky," but she's just trying to protect her privacy.
“Some men take this as me being sneaky,” she added. “But in reality, I’m protecting me, and I'm protecting you. I don't think that I ever want to publicly date another man until I am absolutely sure that they are my long-term person. I want to protect the things that mean most to me, and sometimes when you're a little too open and you're a little too transparent, you open yourself up to a world of opinion, a world of entitlement.”
She also acknowledged that "people want answers" and,
"People think that you owe them an explanation about every single thing in your relationship, every up and down and happy or sad moment."
However, she added that she wants to be "able to love without the pressure.” She also revealed that while she's currently dating, she's being extra cautious about concealing her man's identity:
“I am out here dating and hiding,” she revealed. “I'm the queen of a private room in a back room in a corner closet. And I have no shame in it. And honestly, to each his own. But for me, I feel like it’s working right now. And if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
Notably, Kayla Nicole did not mention Kelce's name, though fans were quick to draw the connection. However, when she compared herself to Cena, a few fans also began speculating that she may have been referencing the actor and WWE champion’s public breakup with Nikki Garcia after they had been together for six years.
During another segment, Nicole was also probed about having any regrets for going to the Super Bowl in February, where the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles.
“I didn’t think twice about it,” she said. “The biggest day in sports? The biggest game of all the games? … I want to go to every game.”
Just this January, Kayla Nicole addressed her past relationship with Kelce and the backlash she has been facing since he began dating Swift. She said on Fox’s Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test at the time that,
"It's inadvertently affected me to the point where it makes me question my overall value as a person.”
