Fans are concerned for Lil Nas X.

The "MONTERO" singer recently took to Instagram to reveal that he temporarily lost control of the right side of his face. In a video taken from his hospital bed, the rapper tries to smile, though only half of his face complies while the other stays flat. In the caption, the 26-year-old said,

“lost control of the right side of my face.”

Here's how one fan reacted on X:

"I hope he’s all right."

Even more chimed in to speculate:

"It’s literally just Bells Palsy. Randomly happens and generally speaking he’ll have somewhat of a full recovery. Y’all doing the most in these comments," one user noted.
"I literally cannot tell if he’s playing or if he’s serious," someone chimed in.
"has no one heard of bell’s palsy orrrrr…" another penned.
"this is so scary," yet another echoed.

The comments didn't end there:

"can't tell if he's serious or trolling but i do hope he's okay," one fan penned.
"Hope he has a speedy recovery," someone else wished.
"Wishing you a speedy recovery. Get well soon Lil," another added.
"I wish Lil Nas a quick recovery and total healing as he’s beginning to lose control of the right side of his face," a fourth user shared.

Scores online were visibly worried for Lil Nas X, with a large number of them wishing him a speedy recovery.

Everything we know about Lil Nas X's condition so far:

In the video, Lil Nas X can be heard saying:

“This is me doing a full smile right now by the way. It’s like, what the f**k? I can’t even laugh right bro.”

Notably, the "Old Town Road" rapper took to Instagram Stories shortly after to clarify that he's doing better. He zoomed in on one side of his face, saying, “We normal over here," before he panned to the other side to say, “We get crazy over here.” However, the Grammy winner said he was "Okay," adding,

“Stop being sad for me! Shake ur a** for me instead! Imma look funny for a lil bit but that’s it.”

At the time of writing, Lil Nas X has yet to reveal further details about his condition.

Fans in the comments were also quick to point out that Justin Bieber went through something similar in 2022, when he had to take a break from touring due to the Ramsay Hunt syndrome, leaving half his face paralyzed.
