Diddy reportedly lauded his family during his court hearing today as his future hangs in the balance.

TMZ has reported that the rapper attended a hearing in court today in a bid to overturn his two Mann Act convictions. Also present were his mother and six children, among others. Per the outlet, he turned around at one point to tell them he loves them and they make him proud.

He then turned to his mother, Janice Combs, to blow her a kiss and tell her she's beautiful, before he thanked everyone who came to support him.

"Every day, every hour, I get closer to coming home," he reportedly said in court before he bid everyone adieu with a wave and walked out of the courtroom.

The latest developments in Diddy's case explored:

CNBC TV 18 has reported that Diddy, 55, is looking at up to two decades behind bars should his July 2 conviction stand. At the time, he was convicted of paying male escorts to come from out of state to get intimate with his partners while he watched. However, he was cleared of the more egregious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

He had pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him. US District Judge Arun Subramanian, the presiding judge, did not rule to throw out the conviction at today's hearing, though he reportedly pledged to do so ”very soon.”

Diddy's lawyer, Alexandra Shapiro, reportedly dubbed his infamous behaviour during his days-long, drug-fueled Freak Off parties as ”commercial voyeurism.” She also said that criminal transportation to engage in prostitution, which her client has been convicted of, should only apply to those who also partake in the sexual activities, as well as pimps.

”The statute should be construed narrowly essentially to only apply to pimping,” Shapiro said.

Per CNN, she also claimed that the Mann Act being enforced on her client would be a direct violation of his First Amendment rights, as would his being a producer and consumer of pornography. She reportedly echoed the claims in previous defense filings.

However, prosecutor Meredith Foster argued that Diddy was guilty of having arranged the travel of the male escorts. The Bad Boy Records founder is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he has been since he was arrested on September 16, 2024.

CNN has reported that the next hearing is slated for October 3, which is when he will be sentenced.
