A TikTok comment from early 2024 about singer‐songwriter D4vd has come back into the spotlight. It emerged as the Los Angeles Police Department continues its investigation into the death of a teenage girl named Celeste Rivas. The reports by TMZ state that the girl’s body was found in a Tesla registered to the singer. The comment accuses him of "messing with" a 13-year-old girl. The singer has not been named a suspect.

This is a developing story, and many details are still being checked. Some things are not yet clear; the focus now is on what is known, what is reported, and what is being asked.

What is known so far, and why is D4vd involved?

Celeste Rivas was reported missing in April 2024. She was 13 then. On September 8, 2025, her remains were found inside a black Tesla vehicle in Los Angeles. The Tesla was registered to David Anthony Burke, who performs under the name D4vd.

The reports by the Houston Chronicle state that the remains were in a state of decomposition and were found in the front trunk of the singer's Tesla, inside a bag. Authorities say the body had likely been inside for an extended period. A medical examiner’s office identified the body as that of a 15-year-old girl.

Reports by ABC7 Los Angeles further state that police have searched a house in Hollywood Hills that the singer has been renting. Sources say a search warrant was served, and investigators took some items, including a computer and other materials, to be examined. There have been no criminal charges announced against D4vd. He has not been officially named a suspect by police.

The old TikTok comment and public reaction

An old comment from February 25, 2024, under one of D4vd’s TikTok posts has resurfaced. The comment says someone is waiting for the LAPD to get the musician "for messing with a 13-year-old girl." At the time this TikTok was posted, Celeste would have been 13. He was almost 19, and many people online are raising questions because of that. Some are asking how much the comment means, and others say it does not prove anything by itself.

D4vd has not publicly addressed the comment in detail. His team or representatives have not made statements confirming or denying the claim in the comment. Because of the body found in the Tesla and the identity of the girl, this comment has added to public scrutiny. People are asking if there was a connection between D4vd and Celeste before she went missing. Some reports say Celeste’s mother told people that her daughter had been dating someone named David. The singer's real name is David Burke.

What is still missing, and what questions are being pursued?

The cause of Celeste Rivas’s death is not yet determined. The LAPD is treating the case as a homicide investigation, but they have said more work is needed to determine how she died.

It is not yet clear when she died or how long the remains were in the Tesla. Also unclear is how or why the Tesla was parked where it was, how the car was used, who had access to it, or whether Celeste was ever inside it voluntarily or not. Investigators are getting digital evidence, and they have taken items from the home where D4vd was staying. They will check if anything inside the computer or other items sheds light on the case.

For now, the case is under investigation. The identity of the body has been confirmed, and the old TikTok comment has stirred public concern. But important questions remain unanswered. Investigators have not confirmed many of the claims circulating, and D4vd has not been charged. The public and press are waiting on more facts, more proof, and more official statements.
