Lisa's acting and music careers explored:
The Blackpink songstress, born Lalisa Manobal, made waves with her debut on the HBO drama show earlier this year. She portrayed Mook, a wellness professional, while her character's love interest, Gaitok, was played by Tayme Thapthimthong.
The season, which also starred Michelle Monaghan and Patrick Schwarzenegger, raked in 23 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series. However, Lalisa's fame predates her first acting credit, as she is most known for her work with the Korean girl band. They collaborated on projects such as "The Album" (2020) and "Born Pink" (2022).
She ventured on a solo career in 2021, eventually becoming the first solo K-pop act to nab both the MTV Video Music Awards and the MTV European Music Awards. She also raked in three Guinness World Records, including the largest number of Instagram followers by any K-pop artist. As of this writing, she has 107 million followers.
Lalisa debuted her solo album, Alter Ego, earlier this year, and it went on to debut at no. 7 on the Billboard 200. It also dominated the Billboard Top Album Sales chart.
