Diddy’s son Quincy Brown reportedly involved in courthouse altercation following mogul's 50-month prison sentence

Quincy Brown, Diddy’s stepson, was involved in a tense confrontation outside the Manhattan federal courthouse shortly after the Bad Boy Records founder's sentencing on October 3, 2025, as per a report in All Hip Hop.

According to the outlet, Brown reportedly confronted a woman wearing Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses. The woman was allegedly recording near the courthouse exit when Brown noticed the device. As soon as he saw it, he approached her and grabbed the glasses.

The incident has come to light after Diddy was sentenced to 50 months, which is more than four years in prison, on two prostitution-related charges. Judge Arun Subramaniam also imposed a fine of $500,000 on the former rapper. Diddy will also be subject to five years of supervised release after the completion of his sentence.

Diddy tearfully apologizes to family and victims during sentencing

After Diddy was sentenced to 50 months in prison on October 3, 2025, his family, including his kids, were visibly upset over the decision.

According to multiple outlets, he became emotional and addressed his children and mother, Janice Combs, tearfully and said:

“I want to apologize to my seven children. My mother, you taught me better. You raised me better. I will never jeopardize my family. No matter what anybody says, I know now I am truly sorry for it all.”

He later added that he wanted to “personally apologize” to Cassie Ventura for “any harm I have caused her emotionally or physically.”

Calling his actions “disgusting”, “shameful,” and “sick,” he apologized to his victims, Ventura, and “Jane” and said:

“Domestic violence will always be a heavy burden that I will have to forever carry….I was sick, sick from the drugs, I was out of control, I needed help and I didn't get the help, and I cannot make no excuse.”

He further implored Judge Arun Subramaniam for mercy, acknowledging his actions. He asked for a second chance to be a better father and a better man for society. He said:

“I beg Your Honor for mercy to be a father again. I have nobody to blame but myself. I will never put my hands on another person again. I have learned my lesson. I will comply with any conditions the court puts upon me. I don't have nothing else but my family-that's all I need. I don't care about the fame or making money.”

Earlier in July, Judge Arun Subramaniam scheduled Diddy's sentencing for October 3, 2025. He denied the rapper’s request to be released on bond to his Miami Beach mansion, citing “years-long pattern of violence” as a reason to remain behind bars. He added that Diddy “continues to be a danger to others and unable to follow the law.”
