Investigations into singer D4vd’s Tesla case have intensified as police look for videos to help track down who drove the vehicle with the dead body in it. On September 9, 2025, news broke about cut-up human remains found in a bag in an abandoned Tesla registered to popular singer D4vd real name David Anthony Burke.
TMZ’s report stated that the Here With Me hitmaker wasn’t aware of the state of his car and was informed by the police. The Los Angeles Police Department revealed to the news outlet that they were alerted to a foul odor emanating from the vehicle and were treating the case as a death investigation.
The impounded vehicle had been at the tow site for some days before the body was discovered. The car was found abandoned in the Hollywood Hills and was towed away. The decomposing body has been identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, who went missing in 2024.
More details on the D4vd Tesla case as police continue investigations
The Los Angeles County medical examiner stated that the body was “severely decomposed,” adding that it would have been in the car for some time before it was discovered. A tattoo on Celeste Rivas’ index finger appears to match the one on D4vd’s.
The deceased’s mother revealed to the police that she was suspicious of the Tesla discovery because Celeste’s boyfriend was named David. The police have talked to residents in the street where the Tesla was initially abandoned to check for Ring Cameras or surveillance footage with D4vd’s Tesla in it.
TMZ reported that the cops are also searching alleyways, as it is believed that the car might have been driven through an alley to avoid detection. After news broke that the dead body in vehicle was Celeste Rivas, Singer D4vd cancelled his Seattle show scheduled for September 17, 2025. He has not been named as a suspect by the police.
