The ongoing beef between the Candy Shop singer, 50 Cent, and the Holla Holla singer, Ja Rule, has resurfaced. The feud that began in the 1990s persists today, and recently Ja Rule has made a claim.
Ja Rule has claimed that he has got receipts or paperwork on 50 Cent. Ja Rule posted pictures of paperwork on his X (formerly Twitter) handle and mentioned ''WE GOT RECEIPTS.''
This post has sparked debates and conversations among netizens and fans of Ja Rule and 50 Cent. Exchanging diss tracks and physical confrontation have been a part of the rivalry between the two.
Ja Rule claims to have paperwork on 50 Cent
Recently, Ja Rule has reignited the feud involving him and 50 Cent. He took to his X handle to share that he has some paperwork against 50 Cent. According to him, the paperwork was from the 2000s when 50 Cent had asked for protection from Ja Rule during their fights.
Whether the paperwork is real and valid has not yet been confirmed. The feud between the two began around 1999, but both Ja Rule and 50 Cent have different stories of how and why the feud began.
According to 50 Cent, the beef began when Ja Rule spotted him hanging out with a guy who had stolen Ja Rule's chain. However, according to Ja Rule, the drama began when, during a music video shoot, 50 Cent felt disrespected by Ja Rule's crew.
Later in the 2000s, the creation of diss tracks, followed by verbal and physical confrontations, began. Things between the two escalated when 50 Cent was stabbed at a recording studio in New York. This incident was connected to the people of Ja Rule's label, Murder Inc. However, later, a rapper named Black Child claimed responsibility for the stabbing.
Back in March 2024, Ja Rule appeared on the Piers Morgan Uncensored show, where he spoke about his beef with 50 Cent. Describing the beef, he said that it is one-sided. He also added:
''Not me, actually, you know. I'm cool. I really don't do social media like that at all. I post, of course, to promote some of my things–but I'm really not the social media guy like that. I really don't get into the back and forth with him.''
While both artists have been successful in their careers, the rivalry is one of the longest in the hip-hop community. From diss tracks to confrontations to moments of pettiness, their beef continues to catch the attention of netizens, which often reflects the personal and deep-rooted nature of their beef.
