On May 17, 2025, Bad Bunny was featured as the musical guest in Saturday Night Live's 50th season finale. He delivered two performances from his latest album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos.

This was Bad Bunny's third appearance on SNL. He participated in multiple sketches alongside the cast. However, his performance of NUEVAYoL had audiences buzzing online.

His 'SNL' set was inspired by the "Lunch atop a Skyscraper" photograph. Bad Bunny and his dancers were dressed as construction workers. They performed above a mock Manhattan skyline. It featured flags of Puerto Rico, resistance symbols, and a Knicks championship hat.

Internet reactions to Bad Bunny's 'SNL' performance of NUEVAYoL

Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their remarks about the performance. Below are some of the comments:

"This kinda slaps", declared an X user.
"The stage is modeled after the iconic beam at the top of 30 Rockefeller Plaza the same building where SNL is filmed.", noted another.
"One of the things I like most about Bad Bunny is how much he respects, celebrates and takes the culture of his country to the world. He could be singing in English and doing a thousand feats with Americans. But he's there, strong and firm, elevating his culture and singing in his native language. King", lauded a third.

Others also chimed in:

"The power of music. Idk what he's saying or what's happening in Puerto Rico but that flag flashing made me feel things.", expressed a fan.
"Spectacular. His supporters are top-notch. Raising the flag on US National TV. Hang in there!", commented another.
"Maybe you can't understand him. There really are people who have bad hearing. They'll go from a two-hour Shakira show to this one where she can't even vocalize. What a world we live in today. Since he is so jealous, he will want to do the same thing as Shakira.", penned a third.
