The rumors were put to rest when American record producer and songwriter, F1LTHY, claimed the rumors were false on his X account, saying,
"kendrick fam but he is NOT the creative director of this album. This Carti album."

The long wait finally ended when Playboi Carti confirmed the album's official release date as March 14. Carti also uploaded a tweet on his X account revealing the names of the artists who will be featured in his upcoming album, I AM MUSIC.
The names include Travis Scott, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, The Weeknd, Skepta, Young Thug, and Ty Dolla $ign. The last artist collaborating with Carti is yet to be revealed. DJ Akademiks added a post on X, teasing fans, by writing,
