Kelly Osbourne and Sid Wilson started dating in January 2022. They had known each other for many years before that, first meeting back in 1999 at Ozzfest, a music festival created by Kelly’s parents, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. Their relationship grew slowly and naturally, and three years later Sid proposed at a special moment. On July 5, 2025, after Ozzy’s final show with Black Sabbath at Villa Park in Birmingham, Sid asked Kelly to marry him backstage and she said yes.

How Kelly Osbourne and Sid Wilson started their romance

Kelly Osbourne first met Sid in 1999 at Ozzfest when she was just a teenager and he was a young adult playing with Slipknot. But back then, they were just friends. Years later, around 2013, they bumped into each other again in Los Angeles and that is when Kelly got to know that Sid had liked her for a long time.

In January 2022, Kelly Osbourne posted a birthday wish on Instagram for Sid’s 45th birthday. Soon after, a source confirmed they were dating. On Valentine’s Day 2022, Kelly posted a message saying she loved Sid and that after 23 years of friendship, she was now deeply in love. Sid responded with his own loving message.

A few months later, in May 2022, Kelly Osbourne announced on Instagram that she and Sid were expecting their first child. In November 2022, they welcomed their son, Sidney. Over time, Kelly and Sid kept much of their life private but they did make public appearances together. They walked their first red carpet at the Grammy Awards in February 2024. They also were seen together while taking their son to special events. Through it all, fans could see that their bond was built on a long friendship and shared trust.

The Engagement at Ozzy’s Final Concert

Their journey to engagement reached a bittersweet and deeply emotional moment on July 5, 2025. Kelly Osbourne's father, Ozzy Osbourne, led Black Sabbath in what he announced would be his final show ever, held at Villa Park, Birmingham, England. Backstage, after the show ended, Sid surprised Kelly by getting on one knee. There were family and close friends around, including Kelly’s parents. In the video she later posted on Instagram, Sid said,

“Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world! I want to spend the rest of my life with you… will you marry me?”

Before Kelly could answer, Ozzy teased,

“F*ck off, you are not marrying my daughter!”

Everyone laughed. Kelly looked amazed, then nodded and accepted. Her parents smiled and the room cheered. The proposal video was posted on July 6, 2025, by Kelly. She captioned it,

“Oh and this happened yesterday!”

Friends and fans quickly sent their congratulations.

That moment marked a beautiful milestone. Sid and Kelly said their “yes” was surrounded by music, family, and the magic of a final concert by Kelly’s dad. It was a memory none of them would forget.

As Kelly and Sid look toward their future, they bring together their shared history, their son Sidney, and the support of a family that includes rock royalty and loyal fans.
