Russian rapper Pasha Technik, aka Pavel Ivlev, died on April 4, 2025, at 40. According to a report by The Pinnacle Gazette, his former spouse, Eva Karitskaya, confirmed the news through her Telegram channel. He died in Thailand, where he went for a vacation with his present partner and friends.

As quoted by the news outlet, Karitskaya shared a photo of the two with the message:

“Rest in peace. I will remember you as happy. I love you.”

Pasha Technik was taken to the hospital on March 27, 2025. There, doctors found he had a serious breathing problem called acute respiratory distress syndrome. His lungs were also damaged, causing respiratory failure, and he developed an infection in his blood, known as septic shock.

Because his condition became serious, doctors had to put him on a breathing machine. Even though the medical team tried their best, Pasha Technik's health became worse. Meanwhile, many thought he might have been poisoned by someone he didn't know at a party. They said he had been very ill for several days before he went to the hospital. Reports also said that he had been dealing with pneumonia and sepsis.

By March 31, 2025, his doctor shared that almost all of his lungs, close to one hundred percent, were damaged. The rapper was then put on a ventilator and ECMO. Soon after his death, rapper Guf, aka Alexey Dolmatov, paid tribute in an Instagram post, a translated version of which read:

“Sleep well brother. No words b*tch. We will miss you so much.”

Pasha Technik said he played with death

Before his death, Pasha Technik was interviewed by blogger Gulnara Nizhinskaya. He shared that he was afraid of dying. As quoted by 360.ru, he said:

“I've always played with death. I'm afraid of it, of course. When I'm sober, I'm very afraid.”

He went on:

“When I die, you don't need to bury me for money and you don't need a coffin. I died, and that's it, the corpse will rot. That's exactly what I want.”

Pasha Technik was put into a medically induced coma and said his lungs were damaged due to the infection. Doctors suggested that if his condition did not improve within five days, they might consider ending his life support.

A group called "Living" started to collect money to help pay for his medical care. They reported that on April 3, 2025, Pasha Technik's manager had brought a large amount of needed medicine to Thailand. Doctors there started to follow the advice of a specialist doctor from Russia.

However, on April 4, 2025, the "Living" project announced that Pasha Technik’s heart had stopped, which is called clinical death, but doctors were able to restart it. His family thought about moving him from Phuket to Bangkok to get more treatment. Karitskaya mentioned that moving him would cost about 1,540,000 Thai baht, which is around $45,000.

Later that same day, his condition became worse. Karitskaya reported that he had bleeding inside his body and pneumothorax. She stressed how critical the situation was, explaining that he couldn't be moved.
