Miley Cyrus spills the deets on her upcoming album: Here's what we know so far

Speaking with Harper's Bazaar in an interview for its 2025 cover story, Miley Cyrus said of her upcoming album:

“The visual component of this is driving the sound. It was important for me that every song has these healing sound properties. The songs, whether they’re about destruction or heartbreak or death, they’re presented in a way that is beautiful, because the nastiest times of our life do have a point of beauty. They are the shadow, they are the charcoal, they are the shading. You can’t have a painting without highlights and contrast.”

The songstress dropped the cover art and trailer in March, both of which showed off fashion cameos from Thierry Mugler, Jean Paul Gaultier, Alexander McQueen, and Alaïa, as reported by Harper's Bazaar. In the cover image, Miley Cyrus can be seen clad in a feather and crystal-riddled headpiece and bodysuit.

As for the visuals of the two, the singer drew on Thierry Mugler’s 1995 couture show, among others:

“She’ll want it to feel like this specific runway show or something,” music producer Shawn Everett told Bazaar. “I love when she talks like that. For me, it opens up a whole world.”

It remains to be seen how well Miley Cyrus' upcoming album fares, though it seems fans are teeming with excitement in the meantime.
