On July 19, 2024, record label BIGHIT Music launched Jimin’s second independent record, MUSE. The BTS idol, who is presently carrying out his military obligations, dropped his first solo album FACE in March 2023.

Describing MUSE, BIGHIT Music said:

“Jimin candidly shares the stories he wished to convey while portraying his journey of finding inspiration from his surroundings. Jimin, who led the overall production of MUSE, tells the story of making various attempts at finding real, genuine love and losing his way at times.”

The second solo album featured 7 songs:

  • Rebirth (Intro)
  • Interlude: Showtime
  • Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)
  • Slow Dance (feat. Sofia Carson)
  • Be Mine
  • WHO
  • Closer Than This

Park Jimin's hit track WHO holds the record for most days spent at #1 on the Spotify South Korea Chart History. Jimin's recent accomplishment eclipsed his own solo tune "Like Crazy", which was released in 2023 as part of his first solo effort, FACE.

The BTS member's song won the K-pop Song of the Year title at the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2025.

At present, the majority of the band's musicians are serving their time in the Korean military. Jungkook, Jimin, Taehyung, RM, and SUGA are performing their required military obligations. These members are expected to be relieved of their duties in June 2025.

As of now, Seokjin and Hobi have completed their service and were discharged in 2024.
