Two beloved bands, Pulp and LCD Soundsystem, are set to co-headline a special two-night event at the 2025 Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The shows will take place on September 25 and 26, 2025. These are the only confirmed dates where both bands will share the stage, reports claim.
Pulp is one of the defining Britpop bands of the '90s. On the other hand, LCD Soundsystem are pioneer of New York's indie-electronic scene, reports suggest. In 2013, LCD's frontman James Murphy produced Pulp's reunion single, After You. Now, over a decade later, they are set to reunite for the upcoming event.
Presales will begin on April 1, 2025, for American Express cardholders. This will then be followed by an artist presale on April 2, 2025. General ticket sales will open to the public on April 4, 2025, NME reports.
Pulp took to its official X (formerly Twitter) handle to share:
"You're seeing double ... & it's all okay. @welovepulp and @LCDSoundsystem. Together, for two nights at the @HollywoodBowl in September 2025. This is what dreams are made of. Bring your dancing shoes. #seeingdouble"
NME reports that in a Facebook post, Pulp's frontman Jarvis Cocker wrote:
""It had to happen one day & we are in such good company… Come along & come alive!" Pulp are playing the Hollywood Bowl on 25 and 26 September with our good friends LCD Soundsystem. Tickets for the shows go on sale next Friday (4 April), but you can sign up for the band's 24 hour pre-sale which will take place next week from 10am PDT on Wednesday (2 April)."
He also added:
"Sign up here to register: https://events.seated.com/lcd-pulp-hollywood-bowl No, no, after you... (Ticket links will be sent out approximately 30 minutes before the pre-sale commences)"
The Hollywood Bowl shows will be Pulp's first North American performances in 2025. It might be a great opportunity for U.S. fans to see the Britpop band, best known for hits like Common People, Disco 2000, and Babies.
The band reunited in 2023 after more than a decade away from the stage. Since then, they have played a series of successful shows in the UK and Europe. They recently signed a deal with Rough Trade Records, reports suggest, fueling speculation among fans about an upcoming album.
On the other hand, LCD Soundsystem is a Brooklyn-based group led by James Murphy. They reportedly made a comeback in 2017 with American Dream, their first album after a seven-year hiatus.
In late 2024, they released a new single, X-Ray Eyes.
