“Life will never b the same without u my brother”: Future comments on Young Scooter's demise

Future makes a heartfelt comment on childhood friend Young Scooter's demise.

Nayvadius DeMun Cash, better known by his stage name, Future, took to social media to make a heartfelt tribute to his friend Young Scooter. On 28th March, the Atlanta artist Young Scooter passed away at the age of 39. Future posted a video clip of the two with the caption

Life will never b the same without u my brother. I love you my [ninja] this sh*t unreal [heartbroken emoji]

Scooter had died of a leg injury, which he received while running away from the police and hopping over fences. According to the Fulton County Medical Examiner,

“Mr. Bailey sustained a penetrating injury of his right thigh that created marked blood loss,"

The Atlanta police later released a statement that said,

Once officers arrived they knocked on the door. A male opened the door and immediately shut the door on the officers... During the process of establishing the perimeter, two males fled out of the rear of the house. One male returned back into the house. The other male jumped two fences as he was fleeing. When officers located him on the other side of the fence, he appeared to have suffered an injury to his leg.

It further stated, "Just to be very clear, the injury that was sustained was not via the officers on scene. It was when the male was fleeing."

The officers were responding to a report of shots being fired and a woman being dragged into a house.

Future's earlier tweet

Future had also earlier this week tweeted,

I can hear u loud and clear my brother(street)…we got u kid

This tweet came after Baddies contestant Demi Blanco was arrested for making a fake 911 call on the day of Young Scooter's death, alleging that a naked woman was being beaten outside of her home. This truth came out after Demetria went on Instagram Live to admit that she was, in fact, lying in the name of self-protection. She was later charged with false public alarm and was granted a $7,500 bond.

The rapper and Scooter had often collaborated, including on songs like DOH DOH, DI$UNCTION, Birds take a bath, and Jet Lag with Juice WRLD.
