More about Cardi B's new album, Am I The Drama

Cardi B's new album features collaborations with stars including Janet Jackson and Tyla. However, while the album features new tracks, it also includes old tracks, WAP and Up, which the rapper had released in August 2020 and February 2021. Critics alleged that Cardi included dated tracks so that her new album could automatically hit Platinum status, as WAP is 8x Platinum and Up is 2x Platinum.

Cardi B, while responding to the allegations, took to X and said,

"This will be the last and only time I'm gonna address this...'WAP' and 'Up' are two of my biggest songs, my fans have been asking me to put them on an album, and people search for them on IOP all the time....they deserve a home."

She also added that the two songs didn't "even count for first week sales" and asked critics about what they are "crying about."

2025 is becoming a big year for the rapper, as she won a lawsuit against a security guard in early September.
