Netizens were quick to jump into the comment section of the Instagram post to voice their emotions and reactions as Beth sang one of the most beloved tracks of Portishead. Below are what some of them had to write:
"Every time I hear this song I get goosebumps ❤️", expressed a fan.
"What a privilege to have grown up with this type of music and quality of artists, plus countless other styles from that era (90s and 00s) 🖤", penned another.
"It is a stunning song that captures the essence of melancholy and vulnerability. Beth Gibbons' voice is hypnotic and full of emotion, while the trip-hop production creates an immersive and nostalgic atmosphere. It's a perfect piece for those moments when you want to reflect on love and loss. A gem.", lauded a third.
Other users also chimed in:
"Pure poetry and music to fly 🎶 ✨️ is the way she sings it; only she can handle that song... give me a reason to love you... (I have a couple to love your way of singing)", opined an Instagram user.
"Extraordinary version and impeccable voice, the only thing is that it is a little faster than Portishead's but that is just arguing for the sake of arguing.", stated another.
"Naaaa great!!! Tremendous! Her voice is intact... and the guitar solo is amazing!! It's amazing how fast she is. Great song, man.", exclaimed a third.
"🥺♥️🔥 Music that in my adolescence made me navigate the deepest waters of my being❤️", shared a fourth.

This was the second time Beth Gibbons has ever performed Glory Box without Portishead. The first time was a surprise inclusion of the track at her Denver tour stop days earlier, reports suggest. The performance was part of her ongoing North American solo tour in support of her debut solo album, Lives Outgrown, which was released in May 2024.
