Charli XCX dropped a cryptic bombshell on her Coachella 2025 stage, leaving the spectators in a frenzy.
As she wrapped up her set on Saturday night, an enigmatic message flashed across the three big screens, where the 1999 hitmaker confessed that she didn’t want Brat Summer to end. The text said:
“Does this mean that Brat Summer is finally over????? idk? Maybe? yes cuz duh it was already over like last year. wait…was it? NO??? i don’t know who i am if it’s over???”
The Coachella crowd erupted as the montage played, accompanied by the remixed version of I Love It, the 2012 anthem that Charli co-wrote for the Swedish duo Icona Pop. The message then continued:
“F***KKKKKKK wait…i remembered…i’m charli. and honestly i just want this moment to last forever. Please don’t let it be over."
Meanwhile, Brat Summer continues as Charli heads to North America this April until May. She is also slated to perform at the LIDO Festival in London in June.
Charli XCX turns Coachella into a pop playground with surprise guests Lorde, Troye Sivan, and Billie Eilish
Charli XCX transformed her Coachella 2025 into her rave temple, serving high-octane performances and Y2K-fueled pop resurrection.
Branding her set as “BRATCHELLA,” the British pop innovator painted the stage neon green, a reference to her acclaimed 2024 album Brat and its remix other half Brat and It's Completely Different but Also Still Brat.
But the real shocker came when she brought out her Brat collaborators Troye Sivan, Lorde, and Billie Eilish.
Sivan joined Charli for a performance of Talk, Talk, sporting a “Protect the Dolls” tee in support of the queer community. The crowd vibed as they body-rolled to the Eurodance banger against the flashing strobe lights.
Charli also brought out Lorde for a live take of their collab Girl, so confusing. The pop stars hyped up the audience with the song’s deep basslines and emotionally charged melody.
After their joint performance, Charli wrapped Lorde in a hug before yelling:
“Lorde Summer 2025!”
Eilish was her final guest of the night, joining Charli for a live debut of their Grammy-nominated Guess remix, which samples Technologic by Daft Punk. The duo showcased a contagious electric chemistry, a perfect blend of Charli’s feverish energy and Eilish’s brooding voice.
On social media, Eilish quickly went viral as she is known for being selective with her live shows.
Apart from the star-studded collaborations, Charli also performed her fan-favorite hits 365 (remix), 360, Von Dutch, Club Classics, Unlock It, I might say something stupid, Apple, Everything is Romantic, Sympathy is a Knife, 365, Track 10, and I love it.
